How to Add a Product Guide 

 

The “Add a Guide” option lets you create a complete product guide with all the important details, specifications, and media in one place. This ensures your customers can easily access accurate product information anytime.

 

Step 1: Start Adding A Guide

  • On your main dashboard, click the “+ ADD A GUIDE” button at the top.

  • You will be directed to the Add Guide form where you can begin entering product details.

 

 

Step 2: Fill in General Product Information

Under the General Tab, provide the basic product details:

  • Guide Name – Enter the name of your product guide.

  • SKU – Add the SKU if available.

  • ASIN – Enter the Amazon Standard Identification Number if you have one.

  • Serial No. / Product ID – Input your product’s serial number or ID.

  • Category, Subcategory, Sub Subcategory – Select the most relevant categories for your product.

    • If the right category doesn’t exist, click + Add Category (or Subcategory/Sub Subcategory), suggest a new one, and submit it for approval.

     

  • Unit – Select the appropriate measurement unit or add a custom one.

  • Tags – Add searchable tags by typing a term and pressing ENTER. Then click on "Save and Next"

 

Step 3: Upload Media; Images & Videos

  • Images Tab – Upload up to 10 product images (recommended size 435px x 300px) and 1 thumbnail (435x300 px).

 

  • Videos Tab

    Click on the right arrow on the ‘video provider’ field and choose from which platform you would like to extract your video: YouTube, Video, Dailymotion, Amazon.

    2. Insert the video link inside the ‘video URL’ field.

    • Then click on "Save and Next"

 

Step 4: Improve Visibility with Meta Tags

Meta tags help your guide appear better in search engines:

  • Meta Title – Keep it short (55–65 characters) and include important keywords. Often used as the title in search results. It's recommended to keep it shorter between 55 and 65 characters long. Your meta title should give users a brief, concise and comprehensible impression of what the page is about and why it is relevant for them. Contain the most important keywords for the SEO of your webpage (guide); the most important keyword should always come first.
    In total, up to four keywords can be used. Word repetitions and spelling errors should be avoided. Moreover, if the title consists of several terms, they should not be separated by a hyphen, but rather by a vertical line "|". 

  • Meta Description – A meta description is used to describe the content of a web page. Meta descriptions will appear below the page title and URL in the search engine results (Google, etc.)
    Here are a few quick tips to help you write a powerful Meta Description: 
      • Make it meaningful and descriptive, matching your content
      • Aim for about 1-2 sentences long. To remain visible within Google, keep your Meta Description somewhere between 140-160 characters
      • Include your target keyword
      • Write a description that conveys your product’s unique selling point.
      • Target an emotion, make an emotional appeal with your message
      • Include CTA (Call To Action) 
  • Meta Image – This image will be identified with your guide (your webpage) in the search results. Choose the most relevant image to your guide, band, an image that will send out the right message to your customers.

To upload an image, click inside the frame and choose an image from your device, or simply drag an image into the frame.

  • Then click on "Save and Next"

 

Step 5: Add External Links

This option allows customers to be redirected to an eCommerce platform and buy the product, with a click of a button.

Select the relevant eCommerce platform, Amazon or eBay, and insert the product ASIN in the field below.

If you wish to redirect visitors to a different eCommerce platform, such as Shopify, Walmart, etc; choose ‘other’ on the dropdown list and enter the relevant URL link. 

  • Then click on "Save and Next"

 

Step 6: Provide Product Description & Specifications

  • Description Tab – 

    Write a compelling and engaging product description.

    Explore the design toolbar for styling your description.

  • Specifications Tab –Add technical details, features, and important product information. 

Use the design toolbar to style your specifications as you wish. 

  • Then click on "Save and Next"

 

Step 7: Upload PDF Manuals 

  • Upload up to 10 PDF product manuals (drag & drop or browse your device).

  • This is great for user manuals, warranty documents, or additional resources.

βœ… Once complete, save your guide. Your product information will now be accessible in a well-organized and professional format on MyQRGuide.
